Many methods of activation of creativity are developed for non-technical application; the most known are brainstorming, lateral thinking and ideafisher.

G.S. Altshuller added THE SMALL SMART PEOPLE, SpaceTimeCost OPERATOR, and FANTOGRAM to this toolbox. These methods are oriented for technical applications.

Some new methods of activation of creativity are designed for "soft" and "hard" TRIZ recently, e.g. AGENTS METHOD by S.D. Savransky (See also a chapter in the book "Engineering of Creativity")
