TRIZ is a new paradigm for creative engineering design founded by Genrich S. Altshuller in Russia. He with co-workers analyzed about 1,500,000 patents and worked out the most powerful methodology to resolve the technological problems.
The popularity of TRIZ in the Western countries grew very fast in last few years. Fortune 100 companies cite a phenomenal increase in the productivity and quality of puzzle engineering problems solving because of the use of TRIZ.

Some people learn well by studying in regular classes with a good instructor.
But there are NO serious TRIZ classes in English. Moreover, there are only a few real experts in TRIZ in the world !
Some people learn well by buying and reading a good textbook.
Unfortunately, there are NO textbooks of modern TRIZ at all. Several books about TRIZ published in 1995-1999 in English were written in Russian about 20 years ago mostly for middle and high school pupils, so ...

Delivering the course this way doesn't provide any magic substitute for hard work or personal interaction between instructors and students. From January 1997 till June 1998 we run 4 sessions (two in 1997 and two in 1998) that start on the fixed day. Now we have enough experience to teach TRIZ via the Internet and can offer the free enrollment. It means that you can start the course any time suitable to you.
Every week you will receive "a lecture" and tasks, as well as analysis of your solution of previous problems. Many of the tasks are taken from real industrial problems. In our training what might have been "a lecture" becomes usually a combination of text and images, created by the leading TRIZ Experts supervised by G. S. Altshuller.
You will be responsible for reviewing the material of the program on a regular basis, solving the tasks, as well as participating in class discussions or activities via e-mail.
You will participate in "class discussions" by e-mailing your question or opinion directly to the instructor. If the question is personal, the instructor will answer you by e-mail. But often questions asked by one student are helpful to others in the class, so the instructor repeats the questions - and answers - in a message that will go to everyone in the class. On the other hand, an on-line "class discussion" doesn't require an immediate answer - you can prepare your thoughtful response . Similarly, a professor can research the answer and post a thoughtful response that will be useful to you and your classmates. This can raise the level of class discussions to new heights.
There are several advantages of a "lecture and discussion" given this way. You can
- read it at your convenience,
- download it to your computer, and make your own annotations,
- review related background material at any point throughout the training.
During TRIZ training you will learn the most effective methodology of technological problem solving designed by Russian scientists and engineers during 50 years of research. A course materials include about 400-500 pages (contain about 150-200 pages of the proprietary results).
As a result you will be able to resolve your old and new real technical problems that look extremely difficult and mysterious now !
6. How can I take this training ?
Generally, any one who is prepared to do college-level work can take these courses.
As with so many services you purchase, distance learning experiences follow the general rule: "You get what you pay for".
The lessons exist in 2 formats : HTML and MS-Word 95 with color graphics (.BMP or .GIF files). Translation was done by the professional service. All lessons are written in the academic style (we tried to do it as an American physicist R. Feyman).
Unfortunately, we cannot send you a sample lesson. Each lesson contains the developments created by TRIZ Experts and, unfortunately, we don’t share information for free. Several people who prior tried to study TRIZ with other companies confirm that they have learned TRIZ only because of our training. We believe that our course of TRIZ at the Internet is the best way to get this methodology.
Due to the limited number of instructors available, we can accommodate only a certain amount of students for the course. The class reaches its enrollment limit well before the first class meeting and advance registration is strongly recommended. We are following the "first come, first served " basis.

7. What do I need to take this training?
You need access to a home or office personal computer, one that provides graphic access to the Internet.
The brand or model of personal computer and software isn't critical. You should be able to:
- access the Internet
- send and receive large files by e-mail.
- employ a graphic web browser
If e-mail is expensive in your country, we will send your lectures at diskettes.
8. I live outside USA, how can I pay in US dollars ?
There are some ways, e.g. Western Union, wire transfer, etc. Please check these possibilities first, and if they are not acceptable for you, let us figure out the best solution for your country. For one of our student we found a solution of this problem with SuField analysis and standards of TRIZ. It is as follows: You need to figure out some companies (that you trust) that has business in your country and USA. You can pay the fee in your country and inform us, when one of these companies will send us a check or money order. Another way is to ask somebody who is traveling in USA a similar help.
9. Is my education good enough to study TRIZ ?
My B.S. is in psychology but not physics, chemistry or engineering. Although I have always been inventive and creative will my lack of typical background be a hindrance in doing well in the course?
Although there are TRIZ courses even for elementary schools, our approach requests some technical background and a good command in physics (at least at the level of a high school graduate). We cannot say that our course is simple for engineers, just because most of them forgot (or sometimes do not know) natural sciences and often their accomplishment is limited to one field of technique. If a student wants to expand the knowledge horizon, he or she will be good in studying TRIZ.
10.What can we do with e-mail problems ?
There are some problems with e-mail in my country, so I am afraid that I cannot receive a huge amount of information through this channel. What can we do ?
TRIZ Experts can send you the course at diskettes (lectures and problems) by regular mail. We will need to communicate with you (by e-mail, fax or regular mail) for evaluation of your solutions of the problem and for discussion of your questions about TRIZ during the session. Let us work together to find the best method of intercommunications.
In our course we will use the Internet technology:
a) to get away from the old classroom lecture model, and to get into the model of individual exploration,
b) to move the student out of the role of being a passive absorber of information into the role of active apprentice,
c) to combine individual assignments with team work among students.
Internet tutoring provides you with a record of the discussions Unless you take a tape or video recorder to a conventional tutorial session, the only records you have of the session are what gets written on paper, and your memory. Being able to flip through your e-mail for the exact words your tutor used to answer a question may be helpful later when you are studying.
Some key advantages of training at the Internet are:
1) Allows you to interact with the group of the best TRIZ experts and to work with other talented students in a global cyberspace environment.
2) Allows you to study in the convenience of your home or office, or anywhere you can get access to the Internet - don't waste time traveling to and from auditorium.
3) Allows you to do your course work on a schedule that is most appropriate to you.
Some of other advantages are more subtle. Obviously, you lose the special chemistry of face-to-face interaction in the classroom. But the Internet brings you the TRIZ course in your home that compensates a loss of the instructor's presence. "Speaking" to your classmates from anywhere in the world (and such diversity itself) adds a special dimension to this program.
You are usually able to get answers to questions faster than you could likely arrange a live appointment with a tutor.
Finally, with the Internet at your fingertips you'll be able to ask questions that look difficult and impossible in traditional classrooms. This is in step with our desire to encourage a new educational paradigm in which the instructor is no longer regarded as the sole source of all knowledge.
Hmmm...but in a face to face meeting it is easier for the tutor to determine what the student's problem is, and how well a particular explanation is getting through. You are right. However, a lot depends on the tutor's skills and we have a lot of experience in distant teaching. Over time we plan to make use of advances in the Internet technology to overcome this particular disadvantage.
12. Why would I be interested in TRIZ ?
If you want to reach your goals faster and more effectively, if you want to become more creative, if you want to be a leader in the next millennium you have to know TRIZ.
Knowing TRIZ you will

There are NO limits on number of questions, the correspondence with some students exceed hundred pages,

Thank you for compliment. We cannot define why our "course is very attractive", so let us explain our price tactics. You can find cheaper, funny and less informative TRIZ classes, but you have to know that you cannot become a TRIZnik after weekly (or shorter) workshop. We expect that your are serious about learning TRIZ and want to receive the best service.
